Auburn is a mirage. They're 12-4 at home, 3-8 on the road — and those road losses aren't close calls. They've been boat-raced away from Auburn Arena, losing by 13+ in four of their last six true road games. Meanwhile, Oklahoma is 9-5 at home and just hung 94 on Georgia two games ago. The books are selling you Auburn's name value and their gutty home win over Kentucky. I'm buying the home dog with Blake Griffin patrolling the paint.

Here's the angle: Auburn turns it over 15.9 times per game — worst among SEC contenders — and Oklahoma forces 6.9 steals per game with a disruptive, athletic perimeter defense. Auburn's guards (Reed, Pettiford) are loose with the ball, and Oklahoma's transition offense feasts on live-ball turnovers. Griffin is averaging a double-double (22.7/14.4) and shooting 65% from the field. Auburn has no answer inside — their biggest body is Quan Prowell at 6'7". Griffin will eat in the post and at the rim.

The other wrinkle? Pace and offensive efficiency. Oklahoma shoots 44.1% from three (Pack and Brown are both above 40%). Auburn's perimeter defense has been leaky on the road, and when they can't generate transition buckets off turnovers, their halfcourt offense stalls. Oklahoma controls tempo at home, grinds possessions, and makes Auburn execute in the halfcourt — where they're mediocre.

Auburn is 3-8 on the road for a reason. Oklahoma is getting 1.5 at home in what should be a pick'em. I'm laying 2 units on the Sooners to win outright, but the +1.5 is the play for insurance.
