Louisiana rolls into Norfolk with a pace problem the bookmakers haven't fully priced in.

Old Dominion just demolished Georgia State 78-55 two days ago — their second home win in three tries. The Monarchs are grinding at 66.6 PPG in what's essentially a rock fight every night out. Meanwhile, Louisiana averages 77.5 PPG with a significantly faster tempo, better shooting (47.1% FG vs 40.2%), and five guys who can all score 16+. The Ragin' Cajuns thrive in transition and half-court spacing — exactly what ODU struggles to defend consistently.

Here's the angle: Louisiana is 3-10 on the road, but seven of those losses came by single digits or in overtimes. They're not getting blown out — they're competitive away from home, just haven't closed. ODU is 6-6 at home, but four of those wins came against sub-.500 teams. When they face offensive firepower (Marshall just hung 81 on them at home, UL Monroe dropped 85), the Monarchs bleed points.

Louisiana's offensive balance is the mismatch. Tiras Wade (20.3 PPG, 38.9% from three) is the best scorer on either roster. David Dees and Ross Mouton both exceed 17 PPG. Old Dominion has no perimeter defense answer for three legitimate three-point threats.
