Wagner @ Saint Francis: Betting the Fade in Loretto

This is a classic NEC battle between two teams trending in opposite directions. Saint Francis is stuck in quicksand — 6 straight losses, surrendering 91 to Long Island and 94 to Mercyhurst in their last two home games. Wagner just gutted out a road win at Mercyhurst, the same team that hung 94 on the Red Flash five days ago. The market is hanging a small number on a home team that can't stop anybody, and that's where we attack.

The angle here is defensive collapse meets offensive efficiency. Saint Francis is averaging 88 points allowed over their last 6 games while shooting just 43.5% from the field. Wagner counters with 47% FG shooting, 38.2% from three, and the best assist rate in this matchup at 16 APG. Mark Porter (5.5 APG) is a true floor general who'll exploit Saint Francis's porous perimeter defense. Tyler Murray is shooting 41.5% from deep — exactly the kind of weapon that torches the Red Flash, who've allowed double-digit three-point makes in 4 of their last 6.

Wagner is also 4-12 on the road, but those losses came against better competition. Against bottom-tier NEC teams like this? They just beat Stonehill 68-57 on the road and took Mercyhurst 83-80 in a hostile gym. Saint Francis is 5-7 at home and hasn't won since January 25th. The home-court advantage here is a myth — this is a funeral home, not a fortress.

The Red Flash have three guys who can score (Luckey, Wicks, Sweetney), but they're allowing 88 PPG during this skid and Wagner's balanced attack will pick them apart. Durell Vinson (9.6 RPG, 53% FG) will feast inside against a team averaging just 32.2 RPG. Wagner also turns it over less (15.1 vs 15.5), which matters in a tight spread game.

The Pick: Wagner +1.5 (-110) | 3 Units

I'd play this to a pick 'em. Wagner wins this one outright. Saint Francis is broken, Wagner is battle-tested on the road, and the Seahawks have the offensive firepower to torch this defense. Lay the small number and cash.

Secondary Pick: Over 144.5 (-110) | 2 Units

Both teams push pace (Saint Francis averaging 88 allowed, Wagner scoring 75+ consistently), and these defenses are sieves. Wagner just scored 83 at Mercyhurst; Saint Francis gave up 91 at home two nights ago. This total is 3-4 points too low.
