Georgetown is bleeding on the road, and Xavier finally gets to sleep in their own beds. This line is basically begging you to take the home favorite, and I'm obliging.

Here's the story: Georgetown has morphed into two completely different teams depending on geography. They're 9-8 at home, serviceable enough. But away? 4-7 overall, and they've dropped five straight true road games heading into this one. Their last road win came back on January 18th — over a month ago. Meanwhile, they just got boat-raced at home by Marquette 60-76, scoring their second-lowest point total of the season. The offense is sputtering, averaging just 72 PPG over their last five games compared to their 76 PPG season mark.

Xavier is the inverse. They're 12-6 at Cintas Center and 1-9 away from it. This is one of the starkest home/road splits you'll find in college hoops this year. Yes, they just lost a tight one at Providence, but that was their fourth straight road game in a brutal stretch. Now they return home where they've been lights-out, and they get a Georgetown team that can't defend (allowing 79.4 PPG over their last five) and can't score on the road.

The matchup favors Xavier too. They have five guys averaging 16+ PPG — a balanced attack that Georgetown's inconsistent defense can't lock down. Crawford, Anderson, and Carroll can all go for 20+ on any given night. Georgetown's offense, meanwhile, is turnover-prone (15.8 per game, 8th-worst in Big East) and Xavier's 5.6 steals per game will feast on that. When Georgetown turns it over on the road, they collapse — see the 47-point performance at Seton Hall or the 60-point showing vs UConn away.

Line moved from 5 at one book to 5.5 everywhere else, and I still like Xavier laying the points. They win this by double digits.
