Rider Broncs @ Siena Saints: Fade the Winless Road Warriors

Siena -15.5 is the easy call here, but the real question is whether we can trust them to step on Rider's throat. The answer is yes — and the total might be the even sharper play.

Rider is 0-15 on the road this season. Not 0-15 against the spread. Zero wins, period. They've lost every single road game, and it's not close — their last three away games were beatdowns by Iona (-22), Sacred Heart (-11), and a 58-72 loss at Fairfield just two days ago where they shot 36% from the field. This is a team that scores 67 PPG overall but gets suffocated on the road, averaging closer to 61 in true road environments. They're dead men walking in hostile gyms.

Siena, meanwhile, is 9-4 at home and has five players averaging 16+ PPG — a balanced offensive attack that Rider has no personnel to match. Jason Thompson (20.4 PPG, 12.1 RPG) is a monster for Rider, but he's one guy. Siena can throw Gavin Doty, Antoine Jordan, Edwin Ubiles, Michael Haddix, and Kenny Hasbrouck at them in waves. Rider's defense allows 74.3 PPG on the season, and that number balloons on the road where they're outmanned, out-coached, and demoralized.

The pace and total are where I'm locking in. Both teams average mid-to-high 60s in scoring, but Siena plays faster at home (14.3 APG, 14.7 OREB) and Rider gets clamped on the road. The 137.5 total feels inflated given Rider's road offensive futility. I expect something like Siena 78, Rider 54 — a 132-point game that cruises under. Siena will press, force turnovers (6.9 SPG), and turn this into a track meet for 25 minutes before emptying the bench. Rider doesn't have the depth or shooting (30.2% from three) to hang.

Lay the points if you must, but Under 137.5 is the sharper angle. Rider's road offense is a graveyard.
