Arizona is an Absolute Buzzsaw, But This Number is Bloated

Arizona just demolished Kansas at home 84-61, riding that ridiculous five-headed monster lineup that's shooting the lights out. Derrick Williams at 59.5% from the field and 56.8% from three? Salim Stoudamire at 50.4% from deep? This isn't a college team — it's a cheat code. They're 17-1 at home, averaging 85 PPG, and playing with the swagger of a squad that knows they're the best in the country.

But here's the problem: DraftKings is a full point off the market. Every other major book has this at Arizona -7.5. That's not a typo — that's sharp money hammering Iowa State and forcing books to adjust. DraftKings hasn't caught up yet, and that extra point matters.

Iowa State is 6-4 on the road, and yes, they just lost to Texas Tech at home. But let's look at what they do well: they protect the ball (13.2 TO vs Arizona's 14.6) and they've got five guys who can score. Craig Brackins and Curtis Stinson are a legit 1-2 punch, and Milan Momcilovic is shooting 50.9% from three. The Cyclones aren't winning this game, but they're scrappy, disciplined, and built to hang around in hostile environments.

Arizona's last three wins came by 23, 7, and 7. They blew out Kansas, but needed late buckets to escape Baylor and Houston on the road. This number smells like recency bias — the public saw that Kansas demolition and ran to the window. The sharps saw 7.5 everywhere else and grabbed Iowa State at +8.5 before this number moves.

I'm taking Iowa State +8.5 for 3 units. Arizona wins, but the Cyclones have the shooters and discipline to keep this in single digits. When the market is telling you one thing and one book is lagging behind, you listen.

Secondary play: Under 147.5 for 2 units. Iowa State plays at a crawl (70.5 PPG), and Arizona's last three games went 145, 167, and 139. The total should be closer to 145, and if the Cyclones control tempo like they usually do on the road, this stays under.
