Located in San Marcos between Austin and San Antonio, the university competes in the Sun Belt Conference. The program has made multiple NCAA Tournament appearances, most recently in 2024, and has won several conference championships throughout its history in the Southland Conference before moving to the Sun Belt in 2013. The Bobcats play their home games at Strahan Arena on campus.
